The vision for this section is to leverage off the location and content of the existing LED screen by showing curated local content rather than advertising. Crowds could also congregate to watch programmed events (e.g. Live test matches, World Cup, Clipsal 500, AFL Grand Final).

 

Strategically located seating is provided to view the LED screen but could also be used for lunch seating/eating opportunities and other social activities. Bicycle racks are also strategically located which could also be potential locations for City of Adelaide free bicycle hire.

 

A new granite flag ground plane is envisaged sourced from local South Australian granite and blue stone. The suggested paving layout (shown in artists impression) is based on a hidden rhythm which would repeat along the length of the Mall. There is also the potential to incorporate public artwork or the heritage story of Rundle Mall in paving strips.
